Épi de Blé - Recipes - Food - Canadian Living.
Made this one last weekend, it's been in my to-do file since January when I started this project. I did take a picture of my own loaf, but the colour is really off, it was pretty similar to this picture on the website though - a little less fluffy looking though. The bread didn't rise as much as it should have. I will have to try again, maybe I didn't let the dough rise in a warm enough spot? Not 100% sure.
All I know is this: bread takes a long time to make, and even not perfect bread takes AWESOME with butter and homemade raspberry jam. Just don't tell Yves I ate some the jam that my mom gave him - he won't even share that stuff with Isabelle!
Off to camp this weekend so I guess it will be a busy week next week between regular activities and trying make some new recipes. Oh yeah, and a cat costume for Isabelle!
